These weather resources are a collection of tools that are presented as part of our annual storm spotter training.  Visit the Twin Cities (MPX) weather.gov for more detailed information or use the National Weather Service Widget (Experimental) from the National Weather Service.  These tools are links to resources that will aid you in understand current and future conditions.  Suggestions for additions or corrections, please email skywarn@stcroixaresraces.org

  • spotternetwork.org - a private website where you can take their training and use spotternetwork.org to submit reports via your smartphone.  Those reports can be funneled to the National Weather Service.

    GRLevel3 Tools

    GRLevel3 is a desktop radar application commonly used in the weather hobbyist community.  GRLevel2 is a more professional and in-depth product.  The products allow you to add "placefiles" which are data feeds into them, pulling in other information and overlaying it on the radar images.  There are also shapefiles, which are map static images that add in more detail too.
